Ahhh! June is the perfect time for cherries, I love them. As I’m writing now, I’m having a full bowl of them.
Le temps des cerises is a very famous french song written in 1868 during the Commune in Paris (popular insurrection against the governement and the emperor Napoleon III after the defeat against Prussia. Unless, the lyrics are not clearly politically committed, in France, this song is, still nowadays, a symbol of resistance and it has been performed by many artists since its creation.

SURPRISE!!!
In a small parcel, arrived for Christmas, I found a tiny bumblebee china box, some Pu’Er tea balls, and a lovely nature notebook with a few pre-illustrated pages! My cousin and my aunt found all these super goodies while they were in China. Obviously, they know how to please me!

She sent me a letter and slipped dried Hibiscus inside the enveloppe.
The vahines use to make collars out of them.
I daydream about the scents and the landscapes she is discovering.
